Understanding (and respecting) the reader

Several of you asked me to post a link to the Guardian’s “Firestorm” multimedia piece that I talked about in class today.

I like the way this presentation treats the reader. That’s the point: to think carefully about how the reader is going to want to interact with the story.

  1. Can I simply say what a comfort to find someone
    that actually understands what they are talking about online.
    You definitely realize how to bring a problem to light
    and make it important. A lot more people need to check this out and understand this
    side of your story. It’s surprising you are not more popular because
    you most certainly have the gift.
